Black Bean Burgers

It’s my favourite season: BBQ season! I made these black bean burgers and decided to share because they ended up being delicious.

Ingredients:

3/4 quick oats

1 1/2 cups of black beans

1 cup of mushrooms

3/4 of a pepper

2 green onions

1 tsp each of cumin, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder & Italian seasoning

1/4 tsp black pepper and salt

1 flax egg (1 tbsp flax seed & 3 tbsp water)

1/2 cup gluten free bread crumbs

1/2 cup gluten free flour


Instructions:

Blend the oats in your blender

Add black beans, mushrooms, pepper, green onion, flax egg & spices and blend

Refrigerate for 10 minutes

Mix in bread crumbs and flour

Shape burger patties with your hands

Prepare your BBQ and grill burgers until cooked

Top with vegan cheese and let it melt

Add the burger to your bun with your favourite toppings


Serving size = 6 burgers
